Another poem, from March 2009 it's about life really

This poem was written probably in the middle of the night when thoughts tend to run across my mind at lightening speed at time, and insomia is often a very weary companion.

This was a performance only poem.

Roses Are Not All Red

Roses are red,violet's are blue.
So goes the lover's rue.

Not all roses are red, or all violet's blue.
Forsaken love may cause the lover's rue.

Remembered love is forever true.

Rose's are red, violet's are blue.
So the child's rhyme has been remembered in rue.

Tomorrow's sunshine reflect's like a light back to you and me.
Yesterday's sunshine but a distant memory.

"Rose's are red, violet's are blue"
This may for some be true.

Not all rose's are red, or all violet's blue.
Many a heart has been broken, this is true.

Love while you can. Tomorrow's sunshine may not for you shine.
Not all rose's are red, how tight does your love hold this hand of mine?

Not all violet's are blue.
Neither are all "I love you's", spoken true.

Withered roses, trampled violet's show the heart that has been broken.
Not all words are true, yesterday's heart has spoken.
