Forgotten Loves
Do You Remember Me?
Forgotten lovers wander through the night.
Stumbling into the dreams of those sleeping in the twilight.
Lovers separated by time and space.
Who can know if the heart will keep pace?
Twenty years or more.
And loves of the past continue to walk through the hearts door.
Is the heart so fickle as to believe all things remain the same?
Today you love me so you say, but if tomorrow you don't who is to blame?
We have changed you see, when I was eighteen you were near.
But now the years have passed, your voice I no longer hear.
Where you lay your head today who can tell.
We were young time has separated us, no need to yell.
No one can walk into the past.
Loving you was a blast.
But we have gone our separate ways.
You wanted to be a green beret.
I wonder sometimes did all your dreams come true.
I said I would be back, but I married instead,it was not you.
Did you marry too?
Or are you still waiting for me to come back to you?
Our love we knew it was true, it would last.
But time has separated us, and now our love is in the past.
If you by reading this you remember the last time, the last kiss.
Remember I said I would always love you, it is you whom I miss.
Lovers we were, but time and circumstances have made us to part.
You gave me your love, I gave you my heart.
Time has torn and broken all of the dreams we had.
Life without you has not all been sad.
But with you it would not of been bad.
Hearts broken, mended by others.
True love can never be given to another.
A different love to my spouse was given.
For my first love was you, now I don't even know if your liven.
The sands of time have nearly out run the hour glass.
Sometimes I wish we could go back to that class.
But never will we see one another again.
For time has passed on, and the rain is falling again.
Only in the night do memories of you wander through my dreams.
I love you still, do you even remmember our dreams...
