The Man in the Moon, A poem from March 2009

The Man in the Moon

There is a man in the moon.
Or so it has been said in the old tunes.

A man watching you, watching me.
Why, we can't see.

So we walk along.
Standing tall, standing strong.

Knowing not that the man in the moon, has seen it all.
He has seen every stumble, every fall.

Still yet the man in the moon does not answer even the softest call.
Perhaps, one day the man in the moon will with us walk strong and tall.

Hold my hand.
Help me stand.

For the man in the moon is watching, you and me.
Never a fall, never a stumble in the moonlight let there be.

For an encouraging word, never will be found.
Not from the man in the moon, he just stare's all around.

So hold my hand.
With me stand.

Walking through the night, hand in hand.
Never will we stumble and fall, if together we will stand.

The man in the moon has now seen it all.
Soon he will close his eyes for the final curtain call.

Life is but a stage.
We must all dance across it's page...
