                                                   Last Walk

It was still daylight.
The darkness of night had not yet fallen.
No vechicals were within sight.
This would be the last walk.

No one would know until too late,
Last words, had been said, soon people would talk...
Walking down the road
Walking along the street

Walking through the parking lot
Walking in my own yard.
Suddenly a vechical appears along the road..
Coming too fast to swerve soon our bodies will meet.

One body of steel
one body of flesh and bone
In a momen in a twinkling of the eye
Footsteps are silenced, as a motor drones away..

This was the last walk.
Never did anyone expect the end to be so sudden.
As the world sees the dead body and gawk..
The dead glance back just as the door to eternity closes forever behind their souls

The road is quiet...
The silence is so loud that the slam of door between this life and eternity can be heard in our hearts.
Loved ones have been taken suddenly our lives parted.
As tears fall haunted memories walk along the highways..

Haunted are those who have killed
haunted are those who have lost a loved one
Haunted are those who have found their loved one dead
Haunted are all those who ran away when they saw the body of someone

As you drive today
say a prayer for all those who have lost their lives
Lost their lives much too soon. Along lifes highway
Remember those today who have gone on to their eternal lives.

How many of the roads you drive today are haunted?
Many have died
Many have been forgotten in this life.
Many tears have been cried.
Many have walked suddenly out of this life.
