A day to celebrate a day of relief, a day the sun did shine. Cinco de Mayo, a day that will forever be mine- Other's celebrate a day that's long been forgotten, a day of friends. How soon we forget those who stand always ready to welcome us to the casa, even till the very end. Rise up and shine, for the day it still stands. Many one day will know a true friend always, lends plenty a faithful working hands. Silly people, don't you know? You gripe and complain, about those who for you did go. Complaining, you scream, send them back; forgetting it is with you they stood tall. When the battle wore hot, still they stood for you, my friend have you forgotten who did answer that call? Cinco de Mayo, Cinco de Mayo, Come to the casa, come to the casa, smile and grab a sombrero it's time to laugh, time to dance. Remember the past; forget the bad, hold tight to those who for you battled with barely a second glance. Cinco de Mayo Cinco de Mayo The fifth day of May- Oh, what a Happy Day, we'll remember always, those who stood strong holding back the enemies who stood in our way. Cinco de Mayo Cinco de Mayo, The fifth day of May- Oh, happy day, a day to celebrate, festivities always a happy glad remembering day... My favorite day to remember a battle many have long since forgotten. A day to smile a day to celebrate, a day to remember the door to the casa it's always' open... A friend till the end, our neighbors to the south, granted many have forgotten. Smile for when the need is greatest; know who stands ever by the casa's entrance waiting to come in... http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1623280/cinco_de_mayo.html?cat=42 |
