A Barking Dog

What's sound?
Do you not hear it all around?

It's running all around the house.
It is certainly not a mouse.

It is certainly not an alarm clock.
Do you here it? Now there is scratching on the door lock.

Oh, my head, my head.
I wish to go back to bed.

Do you hear that noise?
It's not the boys.

Does not anyone hear all that noise?
I wish to go back to sleep. But that sound, it does annoy.

The dogs they are barking once again. Bark, bark and bark...
And it's not even dark.

The dogs they bark in the day, they bark in the night.
They bark and bark; perhaps they are not too bright.

Or perhaps they have a lot they want to say.
But it would be nice if they would speak plainly today.

Bark, Bark, Bark
Do you hear them barking, and they are not even in the park.

They bark, and bark.
They give me a headache, all day long; perhaps I should go to the park?

Bark, bark, bark, and these dogs they run all around.
They bark all day, and all night, perhaps they just like that barking sound.

Bark, bark, bark
I do believe I shall go to the park.

And no Mr. Barky Bark, you are not invited. No, not today--
At home you must stay.

You may stay and wake the neighborhood, be the sounding alarm.
Perhaps you still have some charm.

But if I take you with me today,
There is no telling what I might say.

Because Mr. Barky Bark, you have given me a headache.
For me to go alone is best for your sake.

Mr. Barky Bark, did you not know it is not so sane...
To bark day and night, it is very much a pain.

Bark, bark, bark...
Did no one ever tell you that to bark once is great, to bark from dawn to dark...

Well it's not so smart.
We may soon have to part.
