Secret's of Getting Organized
Secrets of getting organized.
It can be done, it is great if you have someone to help you, but if you don't have someone to help you organize or have the resources to pay someone to organize you home or office then you will just have to do it yourself.
So it is for those of you who will have to do your own organization I'll talk to.
I'm going to give you the secrets of going from an unorganized chaos to a pleasant and pleasing organized home or office.
The first thing I am going to suggest is buy at least two small notebooks and a pen.
After you have your notebooks, and a pen, you will want to start making a list of what needs to be done in each room.
Checking off finished chores is an encouragement, almost as much encouragement as checking off bills being checked off as paid.
Your first notebook is your schedule for cleaning or de-cluttering, the second notebook will be for listing where you store anything that you end up storing so that you can find things.
The first thing to do with a very cluttered room is to remove the clutter, this can be done with the boxes we have often heard mentioned, (keep things, give away things, and trash). Anything that is kept must have a home. Anything we plan to give away needs to be given away quickly so we don't change out minds, same for things that could go to the trash.
Too many times we live cluttered, disorganized lives because we become attached to things that don't do anything for us other than burden our lives as we work to maintain these items.
Just because we have something we may want to keep does not mean we have to have it within arms reach at all times.
So what needs to be done is to find a good storage box or plastic tote, to put things in. Then as we put each item in the box we need to list each item in our second notebook, this is our inventory list. Each box or container should also be labeled. Then on the page we list items that are in a particular container we need to also remember to list where the box or container will be. Our list will do us very little good if we don't remember if the box is in the attic, the basement, the front room closet, the garage or the storage building outside. So this is a very important detail.
Make organization a priorty.
Using these suggestions will help you to go from a cluttered mess to a peaceful enviroment. Making your life more enjoyable on many levels.
