A Shoulder to Cry On...
Looking out the window, I see the rain.
Raindrops falling, all the way to the ground.
Turning to the mirror what do I see?
Day turning to night, reflected back to me is the hardest pain.
Teardrops falling, all around.
Looking outside, I see it is me.
Stepping outside I look for you, as I need to cry.
All around me life is but a mess.
Stepping back inside I see you.
Holding me tight, your arms shield me from the darkest night.
My teardrops fallen all over you.
Turning around, I know it is true.
Safe and secure in your arms, I'll never again cry.
Steady and strong, have you been. I'll not be blue.
A shoulder to cry on, a shoulder to lean on, it's not enough, have you no clue?
I need all of you, each and every day.
Hold my hand, walk beside of me.
Steady and strong, I need you close beside of me, so won't you stay?
A shoulder to cry on, a shoulder to lean on, it's not what I need.
All I want, all I need is your love.
So hold me tight, stay with me, and never a shoulder to cry on will I need.
Always by your side I'll be.
Take my hand, hold me tight.
Soon you'll see, I love you forever, can't you see?
