Some Things I Am Doing
To Increase My Energy Levels
What I am doing this fall to boost my energy is to go walking every night possible. Going walking at night is the only time I have to spend time with my husband alone. So we go walking at night.
Going walking at night is helping me to rest better, and also helping me to lose weight. Losing weight is helping me to feel more energetic. I am also feeling better because my clothes fit better; some are even too big now.
Losing weight this fall is boosting my personal confidence and as a result I am gaining some energy.
Something else I am doing that may be helpful for others to do also, is to drink more water. For me this is a major ordeal as I absolutely do not like drinking water. And I don't like diet drinks or black coffee or water with lemon in it.
I am trying to make sure I drink several glasses of water early in the day, and also with each meal. I do believe that drinking more water is giving me more energy because it is helping to flush toxins out of my system. For instance I normally do not sweat or perspire like most people do when it is hot or at all really. But since I've started drinking lots of water, not only do I visit the restroom more often I perspire a lot when it is hot and I am working around the house. I do not believe I've ever perspired so much.
I've noticed something though since this has been happening to me, that when I go get a shower after finishing up whatever activity I was doing to cause me to sweat so much. That my whole body seems to feel more alive and energetic, I don't know why other than I must be sweating out impurities that may just be making me feel bad and lethargic before. So I am assuming that my body is releasing built up toxins that need to be released so I can have more energy.
Another thing I am doing is I am drinking lots of hot tea, I drink it with "Stevia" and regular milk or cream, not creamer, I do not like creamer at all. (The coffee creamer's that is.)
I am drinking hot tea with every meal, and several times of day besides. I am not using sugar so I've cut a lot of calories out. It doesn't really matter what kind of tea, because I drink a wide variety, I do like the breakfast tea's a lot. So I try to buy that kind as often as possible.
Besides finding time to exercise, and spend time just talking to my husband. I've been trying to think more positively as a whole, which if most people really knew our situation; it would be very easy to see how this is very difficult.
Most of the things I am currently doing to boost my energy levels can be done at any time of the year.
Some of the main things I've personally found to be draining to my energy level has been excess weight. But I've found as I lose excess weight my energy level seems to be improving. So if you need to lose a few pounds or so, losing weight may also increase your energy levels.
When I can get outside in the day time, my energy levels seem to double, so if you can go walking during the sunniest part of the day it would in my opinion be better than going at night, as I am currently doing.
Surrounding yourself with positive people is another good way to increase your energy levels naturally, because just like bad moods and bad attitudes are contagious, good attitudes can be just as contagious. It is difficult to be around someone long who has a positive outlook on life, and is happy, and not be encouraged.
One of the most draining things to me personally is to be around negative, controlling type people it causes me to be very drained in both motivation, and energy.
Anyone can gain increased energy naturally, by keeping their home and or work area as clean and free from clutter as possible, by exercising every day or as in my case every night. Also by setting attainable goals and working towards those goals. By maintaining a healthy diet, and by staying in contact with good friends, and making new friends.
Seclusion often leads to depression, which is a known health hazard. So it is important to stay in contact with people. But look for people who are positive or people who you can encourage.
Working towards encouraging others can give you positive energy naturally.
Drink more water, and at start your day with a relaxing cup of hot tea. A cup of tea is a great way to relieve stress in my opinion, and less negative stress means more positive energy in my personal experience.
