No More,... a poem from 2009

No More

I'd like to walk out the door.
But you know it isn't possible for me, I'm such a bore.

You laugh as you walk out the door.
One day, I'll say no more.

One day it'll be me.
I'll walk out that door one day, you'll see.

Someday, you'll be walking in, as I'm walking out.
I'll try not to laugh, as you pout.

Too many days, too many nights without you.
A heart left idle and alone, it's not good, have you no clue?

Love may grow, love may die.
Love withheld will make the heart cry.

Today, the tears you see may be mine.
Tomorrow, the tears you feel will be those I have left behind.

Yesterday, together we played.
Today, your heart has strayed

Tomorrow, you'll see me as I walk away.

Soon you'll see.
It'll be me.

It'll be me who's walking out that door.
I'll not be staying no more, no more.

Don't turn around, don't blink...
I'll always love you, isn't that what you think?

Perhaps, it is true.
But one day you may be blue.

Go ahead, step on out that door.
For you see, I'm not crying no more.

Don't worry I'll not be long.
You'll be fine, remember you're strong.

No more tears, no more crying, no more leaving.
Who's gonna wear your ring?

Will you stay or will you go?
Leaving, will it still be easy for you? Do you know?

Will you ever say "I love you" with your eyes?
Have you heard the news, about your lies?

Just remember as you are walking out the door...
That I don't believe your lies no more.
