A Bright New Day
The sky is bright and blue today.
The air is fresh and warm, yet crisp and clean.
The air is fresh and warm, yet crisp and clean.
Knowing from horrors we needed a lift.
Many hands rushing to render physical aid-
Holding fast to hope, many never knowing the final cost paid.
Bodies crushed, blood flowing in the drains.
So many hurting and dying, suddenly prayers fall like heavy rains-
Forsaken and forgotten having thought so little of another's daily plight.
Soon their cries fall so loud, many take a hurried flight.
Physical pain so clear, a spiritual hope so desperately needed.
Many false cultic leaders rushing ahead, so many prayer warriors needed, so few warnings heeded.
Many who would cannot go.
Prayers now clearly needed, a fertile ground, many tears to sow-
A might nation once blessed by God, rushing to render aid...
Death so sudden, so many, ad mist the blood many will soon wade.
Yet, this horror, it is not yet the beginning of many sorrows.
Silence the gravest of all sin, regret will many a silent Christian reflect the light of all tomorrows...
Pray today, give aid today.
But my friends remember to tell another the price He did pay.
The road is paved with His blood. It is because of me He came.
It is because of you He came.
There is but one way.
A world so dark, a light it is needed, your testimony, shines forth His guiding light, to another who knows not the way.
See the people, see the crumbled buildings, and see those who've been deceived along the way.
Remember it is for us to pray.
Render aid, if you are able, for the physical body ails.
But my friends do not forget the soul that is lost, that in eternity wails.
A body battered and worn we may see.
But my friend, it is the soul that must be set free.
