The turkeys in the oven, the pies are on the shelf, the cakes on the table. The breads rising, soon to be baked, the cookies are all done, the corns been shucked, blessings abound, as we remember God is still able. Food a plenty, shelter to share, warmth and love How can we ever forget the one who loved most sending His very best from Heaven above? Thanksgiving, it's a coming this it is true. But truly each day we live should be a day to remember, a day to give thanks as yet another day we are given fresh and new -- Thanksgiving, it's coming, but did you forget my friend, that if in His hand your confidence rests, then truly you'll forever be blessed. Wealth, and status here you may not know, but my dear if you've accepted His best, surely you will rest. Confidence in what is sure; it is truly all that is needed. My dear friend, if you've not accepted the hand of the one who loved most, will you not this day give heed. Forever thankful, will you be. If truly you've accepted the one who wishes to give you life more abundantly. Thanksgiving it is coming soon this is true. But my dear friend, did you not know that so to, this world fast approaching an end, but don't be blue. My friend, Thanksgiving it's not just about food and shelter and family alone, it is about the blessings we share. Thanksgiving it's coming, and we've much to be thankful for, but if the gospel we do not share, how can we truly tell the lost we care? Thanksgiving it's coming, and it's coming fast. But my dear Christian friend, remember that this world it will soon be past. If truly you care, if truly you love, then my dear you must show in word and deed the blessings that you hold. My dear friend did you not remember the gospel it is true, and it must be told. Be thankful, this Thanksgiving, today it is yours to share. Tomorrow will show how much for lost loved ones you really did care. Now these words are not to be contrite, nor to bring strife. But awareness that we must live what we say we believe or how will we lead any other to a heaven that is loving, full and bright? Thanksgiving is more than turkey, it is the day we all gather round to give thanks and count our blessings. My dear friend don't forget you may give thanks each and every day, and truly we must of His love surely give thanks, for soon time will be no more and can you not hear, even now the bell is beginning to slowing ring -- |
