Another helpful article with links, written Jan 2007.

First the link to an article I wrote back in 2007 meant to be helpful for homeschoolers.

And now the article, for which I was paid 5.00. This is another non-exclusive article.

A Short List of Helpful Websites for Homeschoolers

Everyone needs organizational skills, and for some it seems the more organized the better. This is especially true for homeschool families. And while this is true, many families may not have the time or money to go looking for good organizational tools, or time to surf the web looking for helpful sites. There are Sites that can help with extra worksheets or coloring sheets for toddlers, sites with menu's and or recipes that are within the family budget.

So I thought that I would list a couple of sites that I really like. And these may also be of use to you.
I hope that you have the time to check these links out.

http://www.janbrett.com/activities_pages.htm

(This site is one of my favorite sites, I wish I could afford the ink and paper today to print out everything I would like to print out; the flashcards are absolutely darling. As are the awards you can print out. This is a very good site. I can not say enough good things about this site; this is a great site for the beginning homeschool family.)

http://www.donnayoung.org/

(This next site has basically everything that you will need to keep good records, plus many worksheets and helpful information; this is a large site and has many useful pages)

http://www.hslda.org/laws/

(This site can help you to make sure you are doing everything legally and tell you what you do need to do, and what is not required for your area. sometimes your local school board does not have the best information.)

http://www.edhelper.com/

(This site has many free pages you can print out)

http://www.hillbillyhousewife.com/index.htm

(This site has a multitude of things that you can do to save money or to live a more frugal lifestyle, a very helpful site.)

I have many other favorite sites for educational or household management. I hope that many of you who read these links will find these helpful for you whether you choose to homeschool or whether you just want to print out recipes or coloring sheets for your children.

Please let me know what you think about these sites.:O)
