"A Revolution is Brewing"... a poem from 2009

Most of the poems that I wrote for April 2009 was for the National Poetry Month. Mostly non-exclusive, if not I'll only provide a link.

"A Revolution is Brewing"

Have you heard the news?
If you haven't listen to this rhyme, and maybe you'll know.

 

 

 

Revolution it is a brewing.



Every year an increase on our income..
Variety of programs, is there no end?


Only we are all going broke. Paying cause we think we must.



Legistors, say we must, but there is no law that says so.
Ultimately, it will be up to the people to know the law.



There is no law says we must pay. Yet we do.
Insanity, this debt. But what to do?
Open protesting it is coming.
Not knowing the law, we have allowed a mess to be made of our economy.

It is a shame I know.
Really it, is a shame.
Silly we have been trusting someone to tell us we must pay. There is no law.
Not one, in the constitution that says we must pay so much in taxes. A line it must be drawn.

Revolution, it is coming you know.
Everyone should know.



Very few however understand.
Only a few can see, the
Limit's the government has.
United we must stand.



Too much money



It is being taken away.
One day we'll all be broke, unless we learn to say...



No,to more and more taxes.
