My President



My President seems to believe money may be printed at will.
Paper money backed up with nothing more than a word.
No gold or silver stand behind my green back note.



My President seems to have so many ideas, keeps talk about change.
Keeps telling me so many things...
I hear him talking, telling me he's got a plan, for change.



My President seems to spend a great deal of time apologizing for my country.
Claims we need to apologize for our behavior.
But I don't understand, what's happened to the "American Dream"?



My President seems to want to bail everyone out but me.
Bailing out car companies, and banks, looks like a government takeover to me.
Demanding a national health care plan just for me, so convenient, since I've no job, insurance or income of reliability-



My job was taken away, sent to a communist country, I think.
China sends poison to my stores, so my President demands "Cap and Trade" just for me.
Home-business ideas regulated out of site, for fines I've no money to pay.



My President says he is going make more jobs for my country.
But all the factories are closing down, moving away.
Regulated out of business, somehow, I don't see a job for me.



My President he says he doesn't quit.
This is true every day; he's some new plan, some new idea.
Taking my freedoms away one by one, too many to count.



I'd attend a "Tea Party" but I've no money for gas.
You see I've no money, my jobs gone to a communist country.
Slave labor making products so much cheaper than I-



Regulations, selective media coverage, My President tells me this is the way-
Faithfully blind, many run to his side,
A trap it holds captive those filled up with pride.
