Footsteps in the Mulberry Tree's

Have you heard the footsteps whispering in through the mulberry trees?
A stirring of the branches, a little rustling of the leaves-

The clouds are rolling away; the buds are bursting soon to be seen.
Have you heard the stars flying through the air?

Yesterdays, you worried about silver and gold.
Tomorrow if you've accepted the Saviour's grace, your feet will walk on your troubles.

Bills to pay, bills owed alls one and the same, a debts reoccurring elevating worry and stress.
We elevate are worry, stress and bills every day. Forgetting to often this life is but a temporary place.

We've a home free of debt, free of bills, all having been paid.
Yet, we place our focus on this place, a place of reoccurring debt, ever unpaid.

Someone's walking, walking past, and rustling the mulberry leaves, dancing on the wind.
Stars are falling yet no one hears their cry.

So busy we are we've turned a deaf ear to what our Saviour wants us to do.
Instead we blindly rush about heaping up silver and gold.

When my friend will we see what we hold in high esteem.
It is but pavement in that eternal city. A city that will ever shine, ever gleam.

We must work to pay our debts its true, but my friend; our focus should ever be on that Heavenly shore.
Touch lightly the things that tie to this world, cause one day, the gold we hold so tight will be on what we walk each day...
