Remember to Tell Your Mother "Happy Mother's Day"
May 9, 2010
Do you know what day that is once and again?
Well if not let me advice you, it's the day you should say "Happy Mother's Day".
Perhaps you disagree; perhaps your mother has gone far away.
Maybe Mother's Day, brings back many memories you'd like to hide.
Yet you forget without her care you'd not be here to complain so far and wide.
Perfect your mother may not have been, yet my friend have you not learned quite yet neither are you.
Look into the mirror, have you yet reached perfection, do your feet walk yet walk on the waters that shimmer blue?
Perfect, loving and kind, your mother may not have been, yet God in his infinite plan chose her for you.
Knowing full well, this was the one who for you would hold for you a clue.
Whether a mother we despise, hate, adore, or love.
We've only one mother that carried us through to our birth; this is a truth from above.
Perhaps, your mother was worn, and tired having wandered too long in sin.
Perhaps, your mother was happy and blessed, filled with energy, love filled your home, den to den.
A happy home you may have had, or a frightful one instead.
But my friend your mother she also has a soul, and will one day lie on her final bed.
Kindness and compassion we must.
For still even our mother's must know of God's loving trust.
A soul dwells in each one of us, a soul that soon will walk though eternity's door.
Perhaps, we'll be the one an unsaved mother will one day hear, pray we must for many each day run though eternity's door, never to be seen no more.
Perhaps instead you've a mother who's been faithful and true.
A mother saved by the blood, one who for you stands in prayer ever true.
If a mother you have who is truly saved, has diligently prayed for you, blessed are you.
For no other can pray so very hard just for you; desiring you to depart from the wide path of rue-
The prayers of a mother, who desires to see her child in heaven, are as gold.
Many mothers there are, but precious are those who to the Saviour hold.
If perhaps, you have a mother who does not meet your expectations, just remember she also has a soul.
Perhaps she was not what she could have or should have been, but even for this one did He toil.
Be happy, because you're alive; be happy because today your mother you see.
Be happy, because you are blessed, and tell your mother, "Happy Mother's Day". Smile and be free.
If a mother you have who has hurt you, remember you also did hurt the one who loved you most.
If a mother you have who has truly gave her love, remember the one who loved you more than any may boast.
Frail and brittle may our memories be.
But stronger love has no one that the one who died for you and me.
A mother may forget her child it is true.
But thankful still we can be, knowing still for a lost mother we must ever pray, for a tender soul, it is precious too.
Love your mother's, love them true, but never expect you'll see a mother of perfection.
Pray diligently if you are truly a child of God, for it may be your own mother is looking at His reflection.
Hold fast to what you know is true, remember kindness and compassion too.
Remember dear Christian child someone is watching you...
