Easter Poem
Soon it's going to be Easter morning, another holiday for which we open our wallets and more.
Some will buy Easter baskets filled with candy, and novelty toys, coloring books and crayons.
Some will buy plastic colored Easter eggs; fill them with candy and trinket toys, hiding them for fun.
Others too old for Easter egg treasure hunts will buy a brand new Easter hat.
Others will not be satisfied with just a hat, but will buy a new Easter outfit.
Others will indulge eating out, then eat some candy too, leading to more and more fat.
Another will get up extra early for a "sunrise service"
Another will dress for church, their first service of the year.
Another will see the day come and go just as any other.
Another will remember Christ who was crucified around this time of year.
Easter it's coming again this year.
Easter decorations are in the store, egg trees are in neighbor's yards.
Easter a day to celebrate fertility, or a day to remember the resurrection of our Saviour-
Easter so cheerful, and colorful, a great time to begin anew-
