My Tears Stay on My Side of the Fence
Fences standing stock and solid, steady and unwavering, staring out at each passerby'"
Year end, and year out, we pass those whose tears stand solid behind a fence never blinking once to cry.
Crying not needed as the rain oft washes away the memories of the past.
Forgetfulness my friend it is both good, and bad but don't worry my friend for we all oft where the mask.
Forgetfulness so common, we forget that we are as those whose memories have lost.
Forgetfulness comes with age they say, but my dear truly it does not, it comes at great cost.
Forever my friend we pretend to remember yet still we have forgotten our closest friend's name.
My dear, my dear, it isn't our age it is the common stress that is to blame.
Bills that are too soon due.
Bills with amounts so high where the funding for we've not a clue.
Illnesses, caused by stress, clutter caused by grief'"
Stress my dear it is why soon on the door will hang yet another steady wreath.
Forgetfulness it is the most common equilateral of us all.
But don't worry as forgetfulness it is perfected when we remember to bounce the teardrops on our side of the fence lest we remember and a teardrop begins to fall --
