My Top Ten Favorite Christmas Songs
Or the Ones I Can Remember at the Moment
Okay, I was trying to think what my top ten favorite Christmas songs are. And I realized I really don't know the titles to a whole lot of songs, I know what I like when I hear it but as far as what the title is I am generally at a loss.
So what I did was to ask my daughter what one of her favorite Christmas songs is so she told me this song... "Last Christmas" sung by Taylor Swift, so I had her pull it up so I could hear it. It sounds okay, but sort of sad.
So I will have to try to think up some more songs. One funny song we used to like was "Grandma Got ran over by a Reindeer" it was a comedy type song, we used to like that one pretty good. It was funny in a way.
So what are some other songs I have to name ten, right? Okay so I'll go with one of the older ones because I do like it. It's called "Silent Night" I like this one because it sounds peaceful.
Another one I like is "Away in a Manger" because my daughter sang this at church when she was about three all by herself; she did very well in my opinion. Especially for a child of that age who was extremely shy at the time.
When I was a small child I used to like the song "Rudolph the Red nose Reindeer" maybe it was because of the fact when the stores started playing that song, and playing "Here Comes Santa Claus" it meant that it was just about Christmas. And the schools would be out and we would have lots of company. We would bake cookies, and play in the snow. It seemed like we always had a white Christmas when I was younger. But then we moved down south where it rarely snows at all.
So that's five now so what about five more...so here's one more it's called "The Christmas Song" sung by Nat King Cole. This is one of my favorites because it just sounds happy and peaceful.
Another one that I really like is "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas." This one is a very pretty song and reminds me of when we used to go ice skating many years ago.
Another song that I liked when I was a child was "Frosty the Snowman" we used to try to make a "Frosty" the snowman every year complete with a carrot for a nose and a hat we found someplace or other.
Jingle Bells is another one that was a favorite as a child. I believe my sister may have even sung this one on television one year. It was either jingle bells or something else; it was a long time ago.
Hard Rock Candy Christmas sung by Dolly Pardon is another of my very favorites. This one carries a lot of meaning to me especially this year. Maybe this will be my number one favorite for a while.
There are probably others that I really like but I can't think of the song titles at the moment so I'll just have to stop here.
I hope you all will have a great and blessed Christmas this year.
