Middle age, or "Summer's Over" A poem I wrote in 2009


A non-exclusive poem that I wrote back in March of 2009, this one is about middle age basically.

Summer's Over



Standing by the window, we look outside.
Watching as time has once again passed by.

The flower's are faded and long withered in the sun.
Spring was shimmering and bright, remembering the race that was never run.


Summer's past were fun, this maybe was true.
But lost to the autumn leaves, are the memories of you.


Soon the snowflakes will fall.
Hiding from our memories those who's name we did call.


Snow as a blanket cover's the mind.
Freezing in time, memories left behind.


The wind stirs the snowflakes, now and then.
Tomorrow perhaps, we'll remember when...
