The Tears Have Fallen Dry
Eye's swollen and red.
Tears have fallen for the dead.
No one hears the cries of the heart.
To this end we all must depart.
Everyday, we must hear someone has died.
As we read through the obituaries we no longer can cry.
Death has come knocking at the door.
Who will rise to answer the door?
Death never runs.
Walking steadly to it's prey, knowing it has already won.
Your flesh today will die.
Your soul will never cry.
This parting it will be soon we know.
For all through this door must go.
Death is certain, we all know why.
It is because of our pride.
Thinking ourselves to be wise we have become fools.
Now into the depths of death have all mankind been dueled.
Reaching down, the Father looks for our hand.
Pulling our souls from the baren lands.
Shaking the dust off our souls,
into hell falls are fleshly skin of old.
Tears have fallen dry for the dead.
Now into a bottle are the tears shed.
Wiped from are faces are the stains.
Gone are all the prideful strains,
Today, death may come a knocking.
Have your tears been sealed.
God's hand is reaching out to you.
There is still hope for you, this is true.
The choice is yours, soon tears for you will fall.
When the tears have dried will you hear the masters call?
Calling for you to come here?
To dry away all the tears you have shed over here.
Tears will fall dry.
Are your tears sealed, so you'll no longer cry.
